The ultimate tropical living space with a stunning natural setting. Honestly, we loved everything about this villa! From the sumptuous linens that made sleeping blissful, to the wonderful panorama, the birdsong, the oversized bath tubs amidst lush foliage and totem poles, the evocative antiques, and of course, the magnificent swimming pool with its tropical outlook. It’s hard not to succumb to the ‘wow’ factor at Villa Kouru. It is a thoughtfully-designed tropical dream home, beautifully appointed, rich in details and supremely comfortable. What is there not to love? Villa Kouru is one of our favourite villas so far; an ultimate living space beautifully integrated into its tropical surrounds and with discreet, professional staff.

After 16 hours of flight time, we were at the airport in Denpasar, where we were warmly received by the chauffeur of Villa Kouru. After only 35 minutes driving, the path led through a narrow access road to the beautifully situated, modern architecture, villa. The villa has lovely bedrooms with great bathrooms in Balinese style. In addition to a TV room we enjoyed the spacious light-filled living/dining room with a view to the pool. The idyllic garden with the beautiful tropical flowers and palm trees is a delight. Embedded within is the modern pool with loungers. Peace is guaranteed!During our two weeks stay we always enjoyed a great breakfast prepared with love. All dinners made our hearts beat faster and our mouths water. The kitchen crew is the best!!!Very relaxing were all our wonderful massages, pedicures and manicures. The management arranged everything for us. For all our trips, a chauffeur was available. For us it is clear: WE WILL RETURN SOON TO ENJOY ANOTHER HOLIDAY IN THE VILLA KOURU

We stayed at this utterly charming and restful villa for a wonderful four days last year. On arrival, it’s like walking onto a movie set, with a grand splashing waterfall in the garden, and sweeping steps down to the open living room. There are two wings accommodating the spacious bedrooms, discretely tucked away. There is also a library/TV room (with more books than you could count) nestling near a set of stepping stones. The resident staff provided excellent service and meals just as we wanted. There was ample time to relax, head into town (half an hour or less) or to a beachside café for a drink, or drive up to Ubud for the numerous restaurants, craft shops and cafés available there. It felt like we had moved into a serene and tranquil part of the planet. Highly recommended.

We thoroughly enjoyed our holiday in Bali staying at Villa Kouru. We loved the rural setting and at the same time enjoyed the close proximity to Seminyak, restaurants, beaches and cafes. Villa Kouru was a perfect place for us to relax and unwind with a lovely private garden and a big luxurious pool for everyone to enjoy! The minute you step inside the villa you will feel relaxed as there is a sense of tranquillity and peace that will envelope you. The unique design, together with the furniture, furnishings and artwork all create an atmosphere of luxury which is instantly evident. The design of the villa offered space and privacy if needed which I liked, there are numerous areas to enjoy if you felt like ‘escaping’ and enjoying some peace and quiet!Each bedroom had its own theme with gorgeous en-suite bathrooms all beautifully decorated, maintained and furnished. I loved the attention to detail and all the little touches that the staff did on a daily basis including fresh flowers being placed in the bedrooms and around the villa. The staff were unobtrusive, efficient, courteous and friendly. They were all so helpful and accommodating and made us feel very pampered! Nothing was too much trouble with every effort being made to ensure every request was taken care of. The villa’s resident chef also gave us outstanding service. We loved all our meals and thoroughly enjoyed the ambiance of the dining area! (open plan with a view of the pool and landscaped gardens). In all we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Villa Kouru and would highly recommend it! Having airport transfers for both arrival and departure was also wonderful and took away the stress of finding a cab. You will not be disappointed with the service, accommodation, atmosphere and friendliness of the staff. We would say five star all round! Many thanks!

A magnificent resort-style exclusive home with a unique architecture and a tranquil setting which caters for privacy and service for its occupants. It is ideal for a family or group holiday. Close to amenities if you need them but once you are there you won’t want to leave.
